The longest tail, measuring 22 ft (6.6 m),
was grown by an American Palomino called
Chinook.
The longest mane belongs to a horse from
California, called Maud. It grew to a length
of 18 ft. (5.5 m)
I have attended many Arabian horse
shows. It is very common to see flowing
tails tailing on the ground. The tails are
kept lean, conditioned, and tangle-free in a
sock or "tail bag." The manes are usually
braided.
