Must See Documentary Health Video

This is an excellent health video.  It's about an hour and half long discussing real life situations.  While watching this video, I really-really wanted to know what is in the juice.. below-left is sneak-peek clip of this video.

Years ago, I was listening to a Seattle radio station about juicing.  Dr. Lorraine Day was discussing how she reversed her cancer just by juicing and drinking lots of water.  A listener called in and said he was juicing, and his hair grew back!  He was extremely excited, which got my attention of course.  There is something about living foods and healing.

BTW.. I've heard that minerals cannot be absorb into the cell, unless they are ionized.  Plant foods do just that, by pulling-up minerals from the soil and providing the required negative charge.  Wheatgrass will pull-up 92 minerals out of the 102 available.

Wednesday, Dec 5, 2012 update:

  • This site (Delight) is now moved to another web server.

When I reset the registrar password to change the Whois information for transfer, I triggered the registrar's 30 day transfer lock.  I did know about this till 20 days into the transfer process, which was canceled twice.  And, I wasn't notified about the lock.  Very frustrating... but it's done now.

The plan is to manage three sites, a triad, all related, but with different emphases; one site for natural health, Delight for hair care, and Emporium as a store.  This is why to have all three on one server.

    • Rapunzel's Emporium .com a dedicated store-  to promote health, and hair care products.

    • Health Peddler .com a dedicated natural health info site.  Health information is too overwhelming to organize and display on Rapunzel's Delight .com.  Health Peddler .com will overcome this problem.

    • Rapunzel's Delight .com will remain as a hair care site.

  • There will be an additional 500 images dating around 1880 - 1920s.  These are not Shuttleworth images.  I have over a hundred on hand right now.  These are pre-scanned.

  • I plan to answer all Delight email.

After the hospital stay for heart failure last year (April 2011), I did not have the strength to answer all email, and my account became overwhelmed with spam.  My last echocardiogram, Dec 31, 2011, showed improvement from 15% to 45% efficient.  55% is normal.  The heart does not contract 100%; that's why normal is only 55%.  My next echocardiogram is scheduled in Feb 2013.

While in the hospital last year, the critical-care doctor told me, "We don't know what causes heart failure."  And suggested, "Broken heart syndrome."  The weird thing is.  I didn't tell him I lost my wife 3 years prior.  Health has been my ambition in life, making right eating choices and such.  Never thought low-grade depression be the end of me.

Also, I now look at Sodium in a different light.  The American Heart Association recommend Sodium intake average no more than 1500 mg per day.  Click here.  Really.... that narrows what foods to eat.  No more Chinese, Pizza, etc.. Even the organic packaged foods are way over the limit.  Funny, I thought I was doing good just eating organic lol

Bringing Peace and Health to Your Head

by Roger Sigler

Soft Cover

Did you know that most causes of hair loss are manmade? The overuse of chemicals, scissors, and razors are disastrous to scalp health. A lush rain forest is ruined by clear-cutting just as close-cropping the head invites a desert. To add insult to injury biocides (which include many hair products) aggravate the environment further by destroying the vital inhabitants thereof. Once the process is complete you acquire a landscape like the moon complete with blemishes, scars, and skin eruptions, even cancer.

Vintage Hair Art page

I have been collecting hair work items for almost 30 years.  So I have some extraordinary items all of which will be featured in my book.  Mourning pieces as well as "family trees" of hair collected from family members.  This is an area of Victorian folk art that has long been under appreciated, and I want to help put it in the spot light.

Vitamin C ~ Hair Growth Connection

Click here for the Vitamin C page

There is a connection between Vitamin C and healthy hair growth, for two reasons--  First, Vitamin C prevents scurvy, a disease which cause blood vessels to crack and bleed, relating to a breakdown in collagen (connective tissue).  Our normal diets fail to overcome mild, low-grade scurvy, forcing the body to fill these cracks with anything available, resulting in clogged vessels and poor circulation.  Second, Vitamin C is necessary to synthesize (make) collagen.  Collagen supports healthy keratin, and hair is made of keratinized cells.

Sutherland Sister's Hair Grower Chemical Analysis

Click Here For The Sister's Grower page

The cork in the Sister's bottle is pushed way-way down the bottle's neck.  A good reason it was used very little.  There's not enough cork exposed to grab with fingers.  After researching the net, a common procedure (concerning wine bottles) is to inject air into the bottle using a needle and syringe, through the cork, poping the cork out of the bottle.  BTW, there is a US patent filed concerning this procedure.

In my case, I don't want to pop the cork out.  I want a sample for analysis.  I'm thinking of using a sterile needle and syringe to suck a sample out of the bottle.  I may have to run hot water over the bottle to help force a sample into the syringe.  When finished, quickly seal the cork with wax.
