Purpose of Cleanses

7 channels for detoxification

There are seven channels  of detoxification?  Our bodies are constantly exposed to chemicals, pollutants, parasites, heavy metals, etc...  Even if we live in a pure, pristine world, in time we would experience cellular toxicity.

Detoxification means "the metabolic process by which the toxic qualities of a poison or toxin are reduced by the body."

Toxin comes from the Greek "toxikon", which means "a poison for arrows."  In Latin it means "poison."

Doctor Ludwig Brieger, in 1888, coined the term "toxin" for poison within the body.

The skin is the largest detox organ.  The skin and hair reflects how well your body is handling toxins.  Addition to the skin....

"The lungs, the kidneys, the bladder, the small and large intestines, colon, liver and gall bladder; all these organs eliminate toxins.  When they don't do their job, toxins get stuck in the organs and cause trouble for the cells.  Cells under stress tend to work less efficiently."  Leonard Smith, MD, of Gainesville, Florida.

The following is a list of the seven detox channels....

  1. Bowel  -the bowels remove toxins from the digestive system and liver.

  2. Blood  -the circulation of blood transports toxins to other organs for elimination.

  3. Skin  -perspiration carries toxins out through the skin's pores.  The skin removes more toxins than kidneys and colon combined.

  4. Kidneys  -the kidneys remove toxins from the blood and liver and dispose in the urine.

  5. Lymphatic System  -the lymphatic system remove toxins from cells and circulatory system to organs for elimination.

  6. Lungs  -the lungs remove toxins in exhalations.  Deep breathing increases lymphatic flow.

  7. Liver  -the liver converts toxins into less harmful substances that the colon and kidneys can eliminate.
